Principal Magistrate Anne Lesootia also stopped businessman Jeylani Omar from trespassing, encroaching or building residential houses on the disputed property pending the determination of a suit filed by Shamsa Abdulrahman against her nephew and niece.

Shamsa in her suit accused her niece Asha Abdalla, nephews Mohammed Abdalla and Bahram Abdalla of conspiring with others to dispossess her of land she inherited from her late father in 1977 and selling it to Omar without her knowledge.
“My niece and nephews fraudulently and in concealment of facts obtained a grant of administration of my late father’s estate when they have all along been aware that I am alive and the only surviving child who inherited his properties,” said Shamsa.
According to Shamsa, her relatives lied to court in November 2012 that they were the only surviving dependents of her late father, Abdulrahman Bin Miran, after which the court granted them letters of administration to manage the estate.

She argued that the three were aware of her existence but decided to go behind her back on allegations that she was dead. The magistrate asked police to ensure that no one evicted Shamsa until the case was concluded.
