The Nairobi City and Sewerage Company (NCWSC) on Friday announced that it will shut down water supply along Mombasa Road due to the ongoing construction near Bellevue to Southern Bypass.
The shutdown will start at 6am on Saturday, October 10, 2020 until 6am on Sunday, October 11, 2020. This is to facilitate interconnection of the new and old pipelines and enable release of the road median to the Expressway contractor.
Areas affected include:
South B and South C estates including Mater Hospital, estates along Jogoo Road including Makadara and Hamza and the whole of Industrial area. Other estates include; those along Mombasa Road from City Stadium including Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Standard Gauge Railway (SGR), Athi River Export Processing (EPZ), Coca cola, Mukuru, Imara Daima, North Airport Road and Embakasi."We appeal for your (public's) indulgence as we work towards restoring the supply. We further urge the public to use the available water sparingly. Any inconvenience caused is highly regretted," Nairobi Water stated.
