Rita Ora has sparked engagement rumours after being spotted out and about with a sparkler on her wedding finger. The 29-year-old chart-topping star has been in a relationship with 39-year-old director Romain Gavras for the past six months. But it seems things could be moving very fast for the couple as Rita was spied with a ring on her finger while out riding in a West London restaurant on Thursday night.
Onlookers claim the star was “flashing” the ring for all and sundry to see – but became suddenly protective of her ring finger when she spotted photographers waiting for her outside the Mexican restaurant she was in. A source described the scene to The Sun on Sunday: “Rita was showing off the ring on Thursday with the women seemingly cooing over it. She seemed in high spirits when she left the restaurant and then shoved her hand in her pocket.”

Photos have emerged of the star seemingly trying to hide her face while leaving the Taqueria restaurant in Notting Hill. While the star could also be seen trying to hide her hand – which featured a silver ring embossed with some kind of jewel. Rita and Romain went public with their romance in July following four months of secret dating. A source revealed at the end of July that the Kosovo-born British singer and the French-Greek music video director had been getting on like a house on fire.
They said: “Rita was hitting the town with friends including Faton. But she’s in a serious thing with Romain and properly loved up. It’s the first time she’s been serious with someone in ages.” While the pair have also holidayed together twice so far since lockdown lifted – with a trip to Ibiza in July and a trip to Corfu in September.

Rita has previously enjoyed high-profile romances with Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, English-American actor Andrew Garfield, and US reality star Rob Kardashian. While Romain has kept his relationship history under wraps – and has previously worked with musicians Jay-Z, Kanye West and M.I.A on their music videos.
