With deejay Crème de la Crème getting his fashion wear brand Esko going worldwide, it is clear that the young entrepreneur has set to build his business empire. He is already one of Africa’s top deejays and he is also a producer managing a number of artistes. Now, he says, he wants to conquer the world of fashion.

Boasting one of the hottest apparel lines in the country, Esko, has taken the market by storm. It is no question why the turntablist is on everyone’s lips considering that the talk is not just about the enviable T-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants and beanies designs, but also the name, Esko, that has set netizen's tongues wagging.

Why? Because it is derived from Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar, who, apparently, the deejay has all the praises for as his source of inspiration and someone he admires.

“Well, people might know (Pablo) Escobar for all the negative attributes. I know he was a drug lord and narco-terrorist who was the founder and sole leader of the Medellin Cartel. But as you know, he also left a number of positive accomplishments and philanthropic efforts towards society.  We hardly talk about the hospitals, stadiums and even housed the less fortunate he build and how he sponsored local soccer teams. I admire the great man for that, all the good things he was and that is why I named the line after him,” Crème told Standard Entertainment & Lifestyle exclusively.

“I can say that that dream and vision that Escobar held while he was still a kid and that he went on to fulfilled when he got older is the drive that made him become the king of the narco trade across the world. I learn so many lessons from that as I build towards making my empire,” Crème revealed.
