Rapper Big Sean has broken his silence after his ex-fiancé Naya Rivers was reported missing from a boat.

The pair got engaged in 2013 but called off their plans to marry shortly before the musician is alleged to have cheated with pop star Ariana Grande.

With fears growing for missing Naya, who was last seen renting a boat with her four-year-old son Josey, Big Sean has taken to social media to share his support for his former partner.

The musician liked a series of tweets praying for Naya's safe return and urging for the search to find her to be continued after it was suspended by authorities overnight.

Among the several posts favourited by Naya's former partner was one that read: "Prayers out to Naya Rivera. I hope she is ok."

Another said, "Praying they find Naya Rivera. She wrote this 6 days ago" alongside a poignant post from Naya that read: "No matter the year, circumstance or strifes every day you're alive is a blessing. Make the most of today. Tomorrow is not promised."

The rapper - who collaborated with Naya on single Sorry in 2013 - also liked a message from a fan that urged police to keep looking for the Glee actress at the lake where she was last seen.

"Keep searching for Naya Rivera. Her son needs her!!!!!" pleaded the fan.

Big Sean had proposed to Naya in 2013 after six months of dating.

The pair released single Sorry together as Naya launched her solo music career from the success of her breakout role in TV musical Glee.

"He's the big dog, and I'm just a little Chihuahua trying to come up," she gushed about her beau.

Despite the huge diamond ring Sean gifted Naya, the pair called off their engagement in April 2014 after just five months together.  At the time allegations swirled that Sean - real name Sean Michael Leonard Anderson - had cheated.

Speaking out in her 2016 memoir Sorry Not Sorry, Naya claimed she found out she was not getting married over the internet.

"We'd been fighting for five straight days while he was travelling, and then on the one day that he was back in LA, he said he didn't want to see me.

"Well, a******, I've got a key to your house. I walk in, go downstairs, and guess what little girl is sitting cross-legged on the couch listening to music?

"It rhymes with "Smariana Schmande.'"

A representative furiously denied allegations Big Sean cheated and announced star had cancelled their upcoming wedding.

"After careful thought and much consideration, Sean has made the difficult decision to call the wedding off," said the spokesperson.

"The recent rumours and accusations reported by so-called or fake sources are simply untrue. Sean wishes Naya nothing but the best and it is still his hope that they can continue to work through their issues privately. We will not be commenting again on this matter."

After her split from Big Sean, the actress went on to marry actor Ryan Dorsey who she had dated four years earlier.

They tied the knot on July 19, 2014 - the same date set for her wedding to Big Sean.

Naya and Ryan welcomed their first child, son Josey, in February 2015 and divorced three years later in 2018.
