News
Mercy missed the relaunch of Betty Kyallo's beauty parlour.

Betty Kyallo’s younger sister, Mercy Kyallo has cleared the air after a section of their fans alluded that the two could be beefing. This is after Mercy missed her niece’s birthday and launch of Betty’s beauty parlour.

Speaking in an interview with Radio Jambo’s Massawe Japanni, Mercy did not say much about her current relationship with her sister but admitted that she has been receiving messages from fans. She admitted that a majority of the social media followers want to know why they are not seen in public anymore as they used to, a few weeks ago.

According to her, sibling relationships are complicated and brothers and sisters often have disagreements.

“Ukweli ni najua tuko na mashabaki wengi Kenya hii na unapata mashabiki wanatuandikia hata DM wanatuambia msikosane but nilisema ntasema tu kidogo. Maneno ya undugu ni nyingi sana na sisi wote tuko na ndugu, n ahata marafiki wanajua tu wapendanao ni wao wakosanao pia. Ni maneno ya undugu, (I know we have a lot of fans across the country who write to us asking us not to fight, however, I said I will reveal a little. Being siblings is full of ups and downs, we all have siblings and even friends who understand that those who quarrel truly love each other,” she said.

On the flipside, Mercy made it known that she is proud of and happy for her sister for expanding her business to the new premises.

“I am so happy for my sister hata yeye mwenyewe anajua mahali ako, I’m so happy and hata nyumbani we are so happy for one another and all our wins na huwa sisi wote tunasupportiana all through… Ukiangalia familia kutoka nje na ukiangalia kutoka ndani, ni vitu tofauti kabisa. Familia kutoka ndani watu wako na wewe kila siku support si ile siku ya mwisho… support comes in so many ways,” she said.

When asked to comment on her relationship with Dennis Okari and his friend Ken Mijungu, Mercy said that it had been some time since she talked to him but clarified that everything has since settled.

“Well, I haven’t spoken to him in such a long time. But there is no bad blood. I’m happy to see him in our lives and the life of his child and it is obviously so encouraging and beautiful,” she added.

Early this year, Mercy came to the defence of Betty after former NTV journalist Ken Mijungu commented on the latter’s relationship with ex-husband Dennis Okari. In a lengthy post on her Facebook page, Mercy expressed her disappointment, terming Ken’s sentiments ‘disrespectful’.
