Many years on, Camp Mulla is still very much appreciated and missed.
The group that rose to unprecedented fame in the early 2010s for their swagger and catchy music put Kenya on the international map and seems to be a favourite of South African rapper, Nasty C, who is signed to prestigious American label, Def Jam.
The rapper showed love to the separated group via an Instagram live with Dallas-based Kenyan DJ Poizon Ivy.
When asked which artistes he thought have a promising future from Africa, he shocked fans.
"I’d still like to see Camp Mulla do something. Every time I’m there I’m always chilling with Shappa. I think they still have it in them and would love to see them do something. Even if it’s just a song, something deserves to happen.”

The BET Award winner went on to pay homage to Khaligraph Jones as a respected MC.
"I’ve met him before and he seemed like a solid dude. A lot of people refer to him as the OG, so I guess he has that bright future too." Nasty said.
Nasty C has been in Kenya about four times and is yet to record with Kenyan artistes, but time will tell.
