Rapper Ty has died of coronavirus, his team has confirmed.
The rapper, whose real name was Ben Chijioke, has passed away at the age of 47. He had been admitted into hospital in early April after showing signs of the bug.
A fundraising page had been set up that said he had been "admitted into the hospital with medical complications related to COVID-19.
"Shortly after, he was put in a medically induced coma to temporarily sedate to help his body receive the appropriate treatment."
The page was last updated on April 19 and suggested Ty was recovering after he was moved out of intensive care.

Ty's shot to fame when he released his debut album The Awkward in 2001.
His second album Upwards was nominated for the 2004 Mercury Prize in the UK, which was ultimately won by Franz Ferdinand for their self-titled album.
The musician went on to release three more albums, with the most recent being A Work of Heart in 2018.
Many rappers have paid tribute to Ty on social media.
