Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has revealed details of his marriage to Fridah Ongili. Speaking to Shaffie Weru on his Instagram live, the vocal MP showered his wife with praises, revealing that God gave him the best wife.

“In fact, God gave me the best wife. That is a woman without equal. A woman with the head of a man,” he said.

Bragging, Babu listed Fridah’s qualities that would make men turn green with envy.

“She is gorgeous. She is beautiful. She is brainy. She went to a national school in Loreto, did Economics, scored a second class upper-division,” he added.

Affirming his love to her, Babu noted that he will always be beside his wife adding that nothing will ever come between them, not even politics.

“I will always stand by her side. I will always protect her and in case of anything, we will always be together in this. Our future is meant to be together. She is not a politician per se but because her husband is in politics and that is what puts food on our table, then she should be part of it,” Babu continued.

“People of Embakasi East also need a first lady and she has a big heart almost the size of the earth to accommodate the people of Embakasi East and other Kenyans.”

However, according to the legislator, Fridah has no intention of actively joining politics.

“She has a vision. I don’t want to force her into what I want to achieve in life. I want her to live her own life. I also want her to achieve what God created her to achieve in life.”

“I don’t want to put it that she must be a politician. If she wants to join politics, well and good. She has the best teacher.”

Earlier on, the lawmaker asked Kenyans to erase the drama of him shooting DJ Evolve from their memory saying that he and the entertainer are now good friends.

Speaking during an interview with Jalang’o, Owino said he was not righteous and had made peace with his past and was not ready to dwell on it.

"Jalas what I must say is that there is no saint without a past. I would not like to dwell on my past so much because I cannot change my past but I can change my future. I would like to talk about my future and everything else that happened is between me and God. I chose to forgive myself," said Babu.

According to the legislator, Evolve was his "very good friend" and no one would be able to break their friendship.

"DJ Evolve is my very good friend. No man or woman should come between us. No one should come in between us in this matter. Everyone has their issues. No man is righteous before the living God so let no man or woman judge me," added Babu.
