Diana Marua assures Bahati of her love amidst cyberbullying

News
 Bahati and Diana Marua.

The past few weeks have seen gospel singer Kevin Bahati and his wife Diana Marua bear the brunt of cyberbullying. The two have been picked on by netizens for various reasons. Amidst the storm, Diana Marua has risen above the critics and sent a message of assurance to Bahati.

In her public message to the singer, the mother of two revealed that people may call him a mistake but he’s the best mistake she made.

“If loving you was a mistake, then you are my favourite mistake. Mistari tuu...” she wrote in part.

Akothee, who has become a friend to the family was in full support of Diana writing:

“Love is a beautiful thing, it has no age nor class, it’s a matter of two hearts and chemistry crowns it all. Love is a decision made by an individual to stick to their partner and embrace all their faults and strengths, Diana Marua you are a super hero wife to Bahati.

“Yes Bahati is an orphan, so you qualify to be his mom, we are all mothers to our husbands, even the ones carrying succession packs with empty pockets still want to be pampered. Pamper your man and take care of your family.”

The trolling began when Khaligraph Jones mentioned the couple in his Hao song alongside Masauti.

A day later Khaligraph was forced to explain the lyrics. In his explanation, the Yes Bana hit maker said that did not diss Bahati and was only addressing the issue of how trolls bully artistes on social media.

The trolling further escalated when Bahati shared a video of himself dancing to Akothee’s song while wearing an orange dress, earrings and high heel shoes.

“I was forced to put on this dress just for Tik Tok.  But singetoa without imitating Akothee. Msimtag sitaki shida,” he captioned the video.

King Kaka, who had earlier come to Bahati’s defence following the critics, said that he has given up on him upon seeing the video, saying that his actions encourage netizens to keep attacking him and his wife.

“Bahati najua nilikutetea juzi but sasa haujitetei with your actions, hapa mahali tumefika wacha niitishe ile maji ya Pilato. Nimenawa,” King Kaka tweeted.
