In a show viewed by millions on KTN Home on April 23, a 17-year-old boy from Nakuru County was announced the winner of the Season 4 of Talanta Mtaani Show, a national talent search reality TV show that discovers and nurtures creative artistes.

Lennox Munjogu received a record 30,037 votes to beat his close rivals Terry Githinji and John Zedekaya who took position two and three respectively.

It was a fierce grand finale dramatized with nerve chilling surprises. The showdown pitted Nakuru against Nairobi County, which dominated the top nine positions. While Terry, also an upcoming singer from Nakuru managed 27,207 votes, Zedekaya, a talented aspiring broadcaster received 19,388 votes to seal the top three podium slots that will see each receive a one-year contract and other pleasantries during the official winners’ party to be held soon.

“I am really overwhelmed and still coming to terms with this,” an overwhelmed Lennox told Pulse on Friday. “I must thank my fans who voted for me in large numbers, my family for supporting me all the way and God for being the power behind it all,” he remarked.

Lennox not only made history for being the youngest contestant to win the nationwide contest but also being the highest voted finalist. Last season’s winner, Kakamega-based Peter Muchoki got 5,100 votes.

And now, it is all systems go as plans to kick off Season 5 get underway with new partners anticipated to boost the show to the next level, with a new auditioning format set to be unveiled soon.
