Inside Rihanna's lavish tequila-filled 32nd birthday celebrations in sunny Mexico

Rihanna pulled out all the stops for her birthday with an extravagant getaway to Mexico with all her family friends last night.

The blowout bash for her 32nd birthday on February 20 included tequila, a mariachi band and lots of twerking at the booze-filled celebrations.

The Fenty beauty mogul is yet to post any snaps from the sunny Mexican getaway, but her guests have being sharing snaps and videos of the lavishly decorated venue.

The ceiling of the party spot was filled with balloons and colourful traditional Mexican decor.

An insider told E! News that there was dinner and dancing in the intimate party and, of course, lots of Tequila.

The source said: "They had a dinner party on Wednesday night with dinner and dancing."

"Everyone was welcomed to the party with a line of mariachis performing and Tequila shots passed around,” the source told the publication.

The venue was decorated with balloon arrangements and colourful flowers, while a table was set up for dinner.

No celebration would be complete without blowing out some candles and naturally Rihanna opted for an enormous tiered cake which was decorated in traditional Mexican patterns for the celebration.

Rihanna was glowing as she let her long tresses down for the fun-filled evening, rocking a Dolce & Gabbana beaded skirt and a print t-shirt for the do.

She even had a piñata that resembled the stunning singer herself, which was quickly burst open to reveal the sweets inside.

The source then said: "They partied all night long with music, drinks, a birthday cake and cupcakes for Rihanna. She was in her element with the people she loves and having a great time."

The celebrations, however, didn’t stop there.

Rihanna’s best pal Melissa Forde also teased snaps of their lavish holiday which showed the pair sunning it up on a boat whilst hanging out in their bikinis.

Rihanna appeared to be having the time of her life on the sunny getaway, which took place just over a month since it was reported that Rihanna had split from her billionaire boyfriend Hassan Jameel.

Just one week after the split, the music mogul actually fuelled rumours that she was moving on with none other than A$AP Rocky.

However, it is unclear whether any potential love interest came with her to Mexico.
