There is no love lost between comedian Eric Omondi and his Italian ex-girlfriend Chantal Grazioli.

This is after Omondi in a message to his followers advocating against suicide and murder over love, revealed that Grazioli will be in Kenya for Christmas.

Omondi stated that the youth need to learn from his relationship with the beauty that breakups are never that serious and do not need to end badly.

“Guess whose back for Christmas? This still goes out to all the young people out there, I hope this will be a good lesson that it doesn't always have to end badly. Don't kill yourself or physically hurt people because you are separating or can't be together anymore. It's never really that serious.

On whether they are getting back together, he noted that they were friends before turning into lovers; a fact, he said, will never change.

“The people you meet in your life are precious, they may leave today and be back in the future or never at all. Chanty and I were the BEST of friends before anything else and that will never change. Chanty amekuja Krisi, hebu let's welcome her to Kenya,” added Omondi.

The split

According to Chantal, their breakup was amicable. A decision they took after having a sit down early in the year after four-years of dating.

In a post after Omondi made their split public in April, Grazioli stated that she will always cherish the moments she shared with the comedian.

“Hello guys, I hope this finds you well I have been silent for a while...Eric and I have had long discussions for the past one month. As you all know my family lives in Italy and it’s been really challenging for both of us.

“I love Eric and I will always love him and we are okay; we created the best of moments together, we shared our dreams and visions but most importantly we shared our lives. And I will always cherish every single moment.

"As I write this post I want to ask God to always protect you and your dreams until our paths meet again. I hate goodbyes so it's not a goodbye it’s more like a see you later. I will always be here for you anytime, any day Eric Omondi,” she wrote.

Divulging further, Omondi, at the time, revealed that Grazioli had also requested to permanently stay in Italy after years of travelling back and forth to exclusively visit him.

“Whenever she jetted into Kenya, she always came to visit me. With her tourist visa, she cannot work in the country. And, she recently asked me if I can allow her to permanently stay in Italy and get formal employment there.

"And because I had seen her stay in my house doing nothing meaningful, I saw it wise to grant her request. Given we would stay far apart from each other over an unknown period, we reached a mutual agreement to end the relationship.”

Omondi has a son with media personality Jacque Maribe.
