You will pay for ‘disrespecting’ Harmonize - TID’s chilling message to Magix Enga

The controversy surrounding Harmonize’s latest hit song Uno has roped in veteran Bongo Flava star Khalid Mohamed alias TID.

Speaking to Bongo 5, TID said that Magix Enga’s move to lay claim to Uno’s beat which consequently led to its removal from YouTube was uncalled for.

Visibly enraged, TID threatened unspecified consequences while claiming that Enga’s decision was part of a larger conspiracy by Kenyans against Tanzanian stars and a direct ploy to discredit Harmonize.

TID explained that he knows Enga and that the sampling of beats was not a new phenomenon that would warrant the action he took against Harmonize.

The Zeze hitmaker warned that should the producer in future ever make forays into Tanzania, they will be waiting, and, have their pound of flesh.

“I don’t agree with this. This is greed and jealousy. I am aware of the issue and know the producer personally; he has totally erred. We had never heard of his song but when he realized that the beat had become successful considering that Harmonize released it, this k*d, Magix Enga, out of jealousy wants to soil the other person’s success.

“How many beats are sampled every day? Even if he were to sing it himself, it will never be successful like Uno. Namwangalia huyu m***o Magix na namwambia siku moja utakuja Bongo na tu**********sha. As a Tanzanian, I can’t sit back and watch as he soils Harmonize. He has disrespected us. This is Kenyan propaganda, I know it well. They saw the song soar in popularity and want to pull our compatriot down. Even if he removes it from YouTube, it doesn’t help him,” ranted TID.

That is not all. TID went on to claim that YouTube was being used to settle scores and were not considering the input made by the artist.

But according to Magix Enga, the beat sampled by the former Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) heavyweight was his rightful work that took him a day to create for the 2018 anthem, Dundaing.

“Like nothing happened Harmonize got some free beats for you bro... I’m giving you 1 week take down the song otherwise... Natoa mwenye let me put it in Swahili so that you can understand what I’m trying to say.

“It took me a day to come up with the Vibe G you get. This s** has happened before but this time things will be different… I’m not going to allow that to happen not in 254,” wrote Enga.

A week later, the tune which had garnered over 1 million views was struck with the copyright claim.

“This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Magix Enga,” a message from YouTube read.

Upbeat, Enga shared, “1-week imeisha and the song Uno is no longer on YouTube. Don’t sample Magix Enga beats. I repeat don’t! Like I said I’m not going to allow this to happen, not in 254.”
