K24 news anchor Anjlee Gadhvi is back in Kenya two weeks after flying out to India for specialized cancer treatment.

In a tweet, the anchor who was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2013 but went public in 2015, stated that she was grateful for the prayers and love sent her way.

Gadhvi added that she was glad to see her daughters, one of whom broke down on learning that she was to be away for an extended period.

“Back home to my beauties, #backhome #grateful #cancerwarrior after a successful #cyberknife treatment from Bengaluru hospital. Thanking you all for the continuous prayers and love you have sent me! I am super blessed with you all!” tweeted Gadhvi.

The former KTN presenter posted before her trip to Bengaluru that her five-year-old daughter had been hit by the news hard.

“I don’t know whether I should be sharing this clip or not. But since cancer is the discussion I think it’s important to share how I find it hard to explain to my 5year old why I have to leave her for 2 weeks to seek specialised treatment out of the country,” she wrote.

In a lengthy 2016 post, Gadhvi narrated that she had beaten the disease after an intensive treatment regimen of over seven weeks that resulted in some terrible side effects.

“This right here is among the things I’ve always wanted to have accomplished for quite a while! After fighting liver cancer and walking away a victor, I finally get to cross this off my list! Make your day count, get something done that’s been on your list.’’ she posted on Facebook some time back.

“This has been my spot for the last 7 weeks. 30 sessions, of 45 minutes each have been some tough life exams.

“Being strapped in a single position with my arms stretched above my head has made this body sore… Unpleasant side effects resulted in an inflamed throat, a tedious process of being unable to swallow or eat without pain.

“Had a few burns on my neck and chest, and boy do I value how important burps are! And flatulence! Love them, they are healthy. I would cringe in agony and suffocation when the air got stuck in my chest and I just couldn't burp... Least to say, my energy was being sapped,” she revealed.

“Finally this part of treatment is over... Yes, despite the drama, I still decided to go to work for a few days of the week and look fabulous!!

“There was no way in hell would I let any of this take away my smile, and gratitude for life and my passion for journalism. Had I not had the opportunity to learn certain life skills nor had an amazing and powerful spiritual teacher #GMCKS and God’s grace, I don’t think I would be here,’’

“This crazy ordeal has made me value a few aspects of life even more. The value of being anchored, of being grounded and deeply rooted. My teacher says, ‘be gentle on the outside, but firm within’, so grateful for this gift of life. I Treasure it, I love it and I breathe it!

“And every single day, I say thank you life! Love to you all, my virtual hugs to you all!’’ She shared.
