Today we highlight times he has been in the spotlight;

Attempt to ‘plant’ a kiss on co-host

Whether it was a publicity stunt or not, this incident did not really settle well with netizens. Section of them called him out for “showing disrespect” to one of his co-hosts at Radio Citizen, Melody Sinzore.

In a video that went viral, Mwala is seen walking from his seat to Melody’s to forcefully kiss her. However, following criticism from netizens, Mwala issued a public apology to Melody and listeners.

Kills a pedestrian while driving under the influence

Mr Mwabili has sparked debate on social media after it emerged that he hit and killed a pedestrian in Kaloleni, Kilifi County. It is said that the comedian was driving under the influence when the accident happened.

Kilifi police commander Patrick Okeri confirmed the incident saying that Mr Mwabili knocked down a 35-year-old man killing him on the spot. Police saved the actor form a mob that wanted to lynch him.

Fan’s death

Just how far can a fan go to defend their entertainer? Well, Inspekta Mwala revealed that someone died because of him.

According to Mwala, the death arose from an argument regarding his (Mwabili’s) identity.

Speaking to Dr King’ori on NTV, Mwala said that two fans argued about who knows him best and one hit the other. He collapsed and died.

Play Kenyan music debate

The heated online debate of artistes asking Kenyan media to play Kenyan music attracted all manner of comments. The veteran radio presenter was not left behind. However, his comments on the issue did not really sit well with netizens.
