Funerals are usually sombre occasions with friends and family contemplating life without a loved one.
However, that’s not always the case as a video doing rounds on social media has proved.
In the video, mourners are seen singing and dancing to the Sailors’ hit song ‘Wamlambez’ during a burial.
During the interment held in a banana grove, some mourners are seen twerking as they dance around the grave.
Even a child is seen dancing to the catchy tune that has swept over the world, with celebrities like US musicians Christina Milian and Jamie Fox joining in on the #WamlambezChallenge.
“Celebration of life in remembrance of the deceased,” Sailors captioned the video, to which Kenyans reacted:
@bennytothedj This is so disrespectful.
@Mbeja78 You do this at my funeral even if I died at 98, I will come back for each of you.
@mudy_rio Then booom the deceased answer "Wamnyonyezzz."
