Deputy President William Samoei Ruto’s brother, David Samoei Ruto on Friday 9, August got engaged to his long-time sweetheart, Carol Kitur in a colourful traditional event.
The ceremony known as ‘Koito’ in Kalenjin which involves negotiations and dowry payment was held at David’s home in Uasin Gishu.
Leading the negotiations team was Deputy President William Ruto. Also in attendance was Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, Uasin Gishu Woman Rep Gladys Shollei and Soy MP Caleb Kostany.
