A video has emerged online of Tanzanian singer Khalid Mohamed popularly known as TID being roughed up mercilessly by unknown men in Dar es Salaam.
Sharing the ordeal on Instagram, a bleeding TID wrote that fame was to blame considering how the men, he said were thugs, attacked him.
“Washamba bwana wakiona tu unasikika wanaamua kukupiga hivi, inaumiza, jambazi anaweza kukufanya chochote sababu yeye jambazi na ana muonekano wa kijambazi,” he wrote in the since deleted post.

The singer narrated to Ijumaa Wikienda that when released from hospital he will set the record straight on what transpired.
“Nipo hospitalini, siwezi kuzungumza vizuri kwa sasa lakini nikiruhusiwa nitaweka wazi kila kitu juu ya kile ambacho kimenikuta,” added TID.
This is, however, not the first time the Nyota Yako hit maker is in the news over assault.
In 2008, the Bongo Flava singer was convicted for hurling a crate of beer at Ben Mashiba in Dar es Salaam.
Kinondoni District Court sentenced TID to one year in jail for committing the offence on July 2, 2017.
