Daughter to Former Zimbabwe Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai, Vimbai Tsvangirai-Java has passed on.
Vimbai succumbed to injuries sustained in a road accident that occured in May, claiming two lives on the spot.
The Secretary-General for women assembly in the MDC who was in the company of her campaign manager Paul Rukanda and security aide Tafadzwa Munzwa were from an MDC Alliance debate in Bulawayo when their vehicle collided head-on with an oncoming car.
Rukanda, who was also Vimbai’s uncle died on the spot alongside the security aide.
Viambai was rushed to hospital in a critical condition and was stable until her demise.
Leaders from all over the country have sent their condolence to the family, remembering Viambai as a dedicated leader.
Family
Vimbai was the first daughter of the late Morgan Tsvangirai and Susan Tsvangirai.
Susan Tsvangirai died after a head-on collision in 2009 that left her husband slightly injured. Morgan Tsvangirai passed on later in 2018 after battling colon cancer.
Politics
Until her death, Vimbai secretary general for women assembly in the MDC and former elected MP for Glen View South in 2013.
