Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino is in a dilemma as to who to support during UEFA Champions League final slated for June 1.

This is after scintillating performances by Liverpool forward Divock Origi and Tottenham Hotspurs Midfielder Victor Wanyama.

Two players with Kenyan roots who had a role in their respective teams booking a slot in the final set to be held at the iconic Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid.

According to Owino, the biggest lesson from the duel, touted by some as a Kenyan affair, is their resolve to soldier on despite being faced with huge challenges.

“Who will I support between Victor Wanyama and Divock Origi? Before you think of giving up in life think of Liverpool vs Barcelona and Ajax vs Tottenham,” posted Owino.

Deputy President William Ruto on his part sent out a special congratulatory message to the two and patted Origi on the shoulder for his huge role in creating an epic turnaround.

“With the teams facing improbable tasks of reaching the #UCLfinal, the lads, especially Origi, displayed fierce competitiveness, devastating finishing to complete an epic turnaround and crown victory. All the best in the Madrid showpiece” posted Ruto.

Born to former Kenyan professional footballer Mike Origi, Divock carved his name in the hearts of Liverpool fans after scoring a brace to help his team make a remarkable leap over favourites Barcelona at Anfield despite trailing 3-0 from the first leg.

Liverpool is in the final for the second consecutive year.
