Barely months after a seemingly infinite tug-of-war with the Kenya Film and Classification Board, Alvindo, popular for his sensational hit song ‘TakaTaka’ has moved with speed to release a new one – this time branding it ‘BoyChild’.

The new track, which made it’s debut on Youtube on Saturday, May 4 has been produced by Magix Enga and has gathered more than 10 thousand views in less than 48 hours.

In the song, Alvindo tries to bring out the ‘plight’ of the young average man, who is more often than not referred to as the ‘Boychild’ in most modern youthful social circles.

It is fair to say the track has aroused positive reaction, with most comments on social media applauding his style as well as pointing out how he has grown (musically).

Since he entered the Kenyan music scene, Alvindo has not been short of high-scale drama. Just four days ago, he, accompanied by the KFCB chair Ezekiel Mutua apologised to his fans for creating the hit song Takataka and pledged to produce more ‘moral’ music in future.

“I want to apologise to my fans and to promise them a second release that will embrace moral values… I am sorry I didn’t intend to incite jilted men against women,” Alvindo apologised.
