Top 2018 KCSE performer Juliet Irine Otieno, has landed a placement at the Technical University of Kenya, Nairobi to pursue her dream career, aeronautical engineering.
Juliet who scored a mean grade of A with 87.6 points in last year’s national examinations said she has always had a passion for the course and has finally had her dream come true.
Speaking during an interview with eDaily, Janet’s mother expressed her joy for the opportunity her daughter has been given saying her family is happy with Janet’s placing.
“Aeronautical engineering was the course she wanted to pursue. I am pleased for her. I am looking forward to her joining the Technical University of Kenya. I am grateful to God,” Janet’s mother said.
Ms. Otieno also urged those students who did not land a course they were hoping to pursue to work hard at what they were called to join.
“And to those learners who did not land the courses they wanted, we are praying for them and we hope they adjust their thoughts and work hard in the academic programmes that they have been selected to join,” she added.
According to statistics by Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS), top performing students with straight A’s in KCSE have been registered to pursue Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, law, architecture, engineering and computer science, pharmacy, nursing and quantity survey.
