A man has been charged in court for stealing Sh1.5 million from his Pakistani boss.
The accused, Victor Okoth Ombewa, and others not before court, are alleged to have locked up Abdul Waheed in a toilet before making away with his money and bag.
Police said Waheed had left his handbag in the care of the accused as he rushed to answer the call of nature.
Waheed later realised that the door had been locked from the outside as he tried to open it in vain.
He stayed in the toilet for over an hour, before being helped by a Good Samaritan.
Police said the accused and his friends had disappeared by then. Ombewa was also charged with being in possession of stolen goods among them a laptop, bag, keys, Pakistan passport, mobile phone, WI-Fi gadget, KRA PIN, card all valued at Sh30,000.
He however denied the charges and was released on Sh50,000 cash bail.
The matter will be heard on July 4.
