A 45-year-old woman died while praying and fasting at Heaven’s Gate in Gilgil.
Lilian Nyaboke is said to have booked herself into a guest house within the prayer centre on Friday.
She was found dead yesterday morning.
Gilgil sub-county police commander Emmanuel Opuru said Nyaboke was found dead by other Christians after she failed to turn up for early morning prayers.
According to Mr Opuru, Nyaboke might have been sick when she checked in at the guest house.
“The cause of her death is yet to be known. But we believe she was brought here so that she could be prayed for and get healed,” said Opuru.
