At first glance, you’d be forgiven for mistaking this SUV as a character from the Transformer series.

But the vehicle is very much real, and with a whopping 10 wheels, is officially the largest SUV in the world.

The monster vehicle was designed by Dubai’s Sheikh Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, and features sections of a Jeep Wrangler, Dodge Dart and Oshkosh M1075 military truck.

Sheikh Hamad posted an image of the vehicle, dubbed Dhabiyan, on his Instagram page.

He wrote: “Dhabiyan is based on the Oshkosh M1075 military truck with the PLS (Palletized Load System), a Jeep Wrangler was annexed to it as a driver cabin.”

Measuring 10.8 metres long, 2.5 metres wide and 3.2 metres tall, Dhabiyan is an absolute beast, and weighs a whopping 24 tonnes.

Unsurprisingly, the truck features an enormous 600hp Caterpillar C15 15.2-litre, 6-cylinder inline water-cooled diesel engine.

However, it could be a while before we see the Dhabiyan hitting the road.

The huge vehicle is currently being exhibited at the off-road history museum in Al Madam, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

It remains unclear how much it cost to develop the truck.
