Harmless banter between two women and a man turned tragic after the man eventually died and five houses razed to the ground down in Nyamache area in Kisii County.
Joshua Machuka, 28, is said to have been playing around with Rose Onsare and Irine Malack for about 30 minutes yesterday after which he is said to have fallen on the tarmack, hit his head, and became unconscious.
Gionsaria Location Chief Oganda Mageto said the three are known to engage in harmless banter every time they meet but this time round it was fatal.
“One of the women is said to have held Machuka‘s head between her legs as the other one held his hands as they joked that they wanted to see if he was man enough; he struggled for some time before falling off,” said Mageto.

The chief said Machuka got away from the grip of the women and accidentally fell back, hitting his head on the ground. The two women then took him to Nyamache Hospital.
Mageto said when they reached the Sub County Hospital the medical personnel who attended to Machuka found out that he had died after which they tricked the women to stick around as they informed the police. Irked residents burned the houses belonging to the two women.
