A businesswoman has sued her customer for pouring out omena stew and other foods valued at Sh16,200 at her eatery.
Christine Adhiambo is accusing Daniel Omunedhe of damaging properties and food, among them beef stew at her Junction Resort eatery on November 7, within Njiru area.
It is claimed that the accused person in the company of his friend checked into the cafe and ordered food.
According to prosecution, when they were done eating, the accused gave out some money to pay for the food, but differed with Adhiambo over his balance.
Omunedhe reportedly refused to pay for the food eaten by his friend, claiming he did not know him, but Adhiambo insisted he pay for the food.
An argument ensued and Omunedhe allegedly stormed into the kitchen and in protest kicked sufurias of omena, beef and other food items, which spilled on the ground.
The accused is said to have destroyed other property, including a flask.
He was arrested and arraigned in court. He denied the charges and was released on a cash bail of Sh20,000 pending hearing on March 22.
