It’s been a great year for Kenyan rapper Brian Ouko Omollo alias Khaligraph Jones. Aside from ruling the airwaves, the Blue Ink recording studios boss has been given the nod for two international awards.
Two months after being crowned ‘Best Rap Act’ in the 2018 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA), Khali has received yet another award nomination.
The ‘Ngori’ rapper has shortlisted under the ‘Best Hip-hop’ category at the Soundcity MVP Awards Festival.
Khali will face off in the highly competitive category against South Africa’s Nasty C and A.K.A, Phyno, Falz, Kwesta, Sarkodie, M.I. Abaga among others.
Barely a month after Sauti Sol’s collaboration with Nyashinski, ‘Short n Sweet’ won ‘Best Collaboration of the Year’ at the 2018 Pulse Music Video Awards (PMVA), the song has received two nominations at the Soundcity MVP Awards Festival.
The song has been been nominated for ‘Video Of The Year’ and ‘Song Of The Year.’
Sauti Sol also received the third nomination for ‘Best Group Or Duo’
The award ceremony, presented by Soundcity TV will be held on January 5, 2019 at the Eko Hotel Convention Center, Victoria Island in Lagos, Nigeria.
