Tanzanian Bongo star Omary Nyembo popularly known as Ommy Dimpoz has been flown to Germany for specialized treatment.
According to his father Mr Faraji Nyembo, his son’s condition had been improving after he underwent throat surgery in South Africa but he took a turn for the worse recently.
“The truth I was informed that my son's condition has worsened again. They have taken him to Germany for treatment and a possible surgery again. I have been talking to them on phone to know how he is fairing,” Faraji revealed to Global Publishers.
This comes several months after the ‘Hello Baby’ hitmaker disclosed in June 2018 that he had trouble eating and drinking.
He later underwent surgery in South Africa, a procedure that lasted for 12 long hours and recuperated at the hospital for three months before relocating to Mombasa.
“Baada ya kufanyiwa upasuaji ule wa awali, Dimpoz alikwenda kupumzika Mombasa. Baadaye alipokwenda kuchekiwa baada ya miezi mitatu kupita, alikutwa na tatizo hili la usaha, akapatiwa matibabu kisha kurejea nchini. Tuliamini sasa Dimpoz anarudi kwenye hali yake maana alionekana kupata afueni kubwa lakini ndivyo hivyo tena, hali ilibadilika ghafla,” a family source was quoted by Global TV.
Ommy is signed to Ali Kiba’s RockStar4000 record label.
