Embakasi Central MP Benjamin Gathiru popularly known as Mejja Donk has been arrested.
Gathiru had stormed Nyama Villa estate in Kayole on Tuesday morning where demolitions had begun demanding to be given the eviction notice.
This is after residents complained that they were not given notice of the impending demolitions.
The excavators descended on buildings in the estate forcing residents to try secure valuable belongings from their houses.
Unconfirmed reports indicated that a private developer in bid to reclaim his 20 hectares of land was behind the demolitions being conducted under heavy police presence.
This comes just days after Grand Manor hotel in Gigiri, Nairobi was demolished.
