Kenyan gospel singer Bahati is trending on social media after he introduced his 101-year-old grandfather to his legion of fans.
“He's 101 Years Old and He will Feature on Tomorrow's Being Bahati. Baby Heaven goes for Gukas Blessings,'' he posted.
The response was not one he probably expected, however, after some of his fans went for his neck over the state of his grandfather.
Many were not impressed that his grandpa seemingly lived hand to mouth yet the singer was living large in the city. A few weeks ago, he had disclosed that he has purchased a house worth over Sh10 million.
Others, however, went to his corner, saying the attacks on the singer were uncalled for and the grandfather’s condition was being blown out of proportion.
They added that Bahati was blessed to have a grandfather live to that age and furthermore happy to see his grandchildren.
