Kalenjin rapper Msupa S on Tuesday left her fans excited after hinting that a collabo between her and Africa’s finest Sauti Sol might be cooking.
On social media, Msupa S posted a photo with Bien Aime and captioned it “Collabo itaweza?” to tease fans after releasing her new Kalenjin song Meromuche.
Many of her followers were excited by the post while others warned her from trying out new genres.
Last week, the singer promised to drop a flurry of hits after going silent for almost three months.
“I have a lot of songs I have recorded that I will release in a few days. Four are already finished and one even has a video. Kenyans watajua hawajui. When I start dropping them, I will release a song almost every day till December," she told SDE.
Meromuche, however, isn’t what many expected in her return.
Rap fans that were already picking up her style felt let-down after she released the pure Kalenjin song.
“Sasa Msupa S hizi ni gani, umeniangusha?,” commented a fan after she released the song.
“This is certainly a different change up from your “I Don’t Care” video. Personally, I like your other songs way better than this one,” added another.
Meromuche is a follow up of her Kalenjin song Helo Helo released early this year.
