Kenyan DJ-cum promoter Jeffrey Guchu, popularly known as Dj Guchy, is the new booking manager for Jamaican dancehall and reggae artist, Demarco.
Speaking exclusively to SDE, Dj Guchy revealed that he got to work with Demarco through the Konvict Music Team which he has been working with on different projects.
“Working with Demarco feels great, keeping in mind I’ve always been a big fan and he’s one of the biggest dancehall stars in the world, it’s a great opportunity and blessing to work with such talent,” said Dj Guchy.
“We are looking at jumping on an African tour with him very soon, then afterwards we can work on tours in other regions,” he revealed.
When asked if Kenyans should look forward for more of Demarco’s performance in the country, Dj Guchy hinted that a few Kenyan artists are actually already in talking terms with the Jamaican dancehall artists for collaborations.
“Demarco loves Kenya and Kenyans love Demarco. So Kenyans should expect him back sooner than they expect. I’ll be fixing some major collaborations with Kenyan Artists.
“I’ve been speaking to him about it and he is more than willing to collaborate with a couple of Kenyan artists anytime from now,” he said.
DJ Guchy has worked with big names such as, Richie Spice, Akon, and Busy Signal.
