The love affair between Governor Ali Hassan Joho and television anchor Betty Kyallo is curious in many ways: Joho was a friend of Betty’s hubby, Dennis Okari - who has since accepted Jesus Christ as his personal saviour.
So close was Okari to Joho, that he often gave him PR jobs for his businesses which saw Okari head to the Coast.
But things changed “when Okari decided to let Betty, then his girlfriend, to accompany him to some of the trips,” another source told The Nairobian.
“Dennis would be working in a different town in Mombasa leaving Joho with Betty. Dennis did not know what was going on, and the relationship blossomed. Joho even contributed towards their wedding.”
But matters came to a head when Betty drove home in a Porche. Dennis demanded to know and where she got the car and Betty finally owned up that it was Joho’s.
Betty left the house as if going shopping and moved into the house Joho had bought her in Kilimani, our source explained.
