A first term MP from Nyanza is under siege from some of his constituents for issuing a bouncing cheque to a bereaved family.
Sources told The Grapevine that the politician recently gave the cheque at a funeral, only for it to be rejected by the bank.
It is understood that the leader made the donation to the family of the deceased, after his rival in the last elections gave Sh200, 000 in support of the family.
Not one to be outdone in public the representative quickly summoned an aide who brought him his cheque book and declared that he has donated Sh300, 000 to the family.
He is now the talk of the constituency, with many people wondering if he just plain broke.
