Juliet Anyango, a Juja Road resident has a word of caution for peeps using the mathrees on that route.
She claims the mathrees, especially during evening hours, carry excess passengers, who turn out to be thieves!
“These criminals mostly target female passengers. I also suspect they work in cahoots with the mathree crew. Last week, my sister lost her mobile phone, only to realise it when she was alighting.
She suspects it is the guy who sat next to her. And she is not the only one. Most of my friends have also lost their personal belongings,” she says.
So, next time you board the mathrees, be extra careful. She is appealing to cops to crack the whip and arrest the thugs.
