A man has been arrested after killing his wife by passing an electric current through her privates.
According to police reports, Suresh Miri, a cook with the Indian army used a live wire to commit the heinous act after suspecting his wife of infidelity.
"When Laxmi was washing clothes in the bathroom, Miri went inside and started beating her. When she fell unconscious, Miri passed electric current to her private parts with the help of a live wire leading to her death on the spot," Assistant Sub-Inspector Paras Ram Jagat told the press.
Miri contacted his in-laws, informing them that Laxmi had been taken ill. He then hired a van and transported the body to his native village.
However, after seeing Laxmi’s body, her family confronted Miri before informing the police who took the suspect into custody.
During interrogation, he confessed to killing his wife after suspecting she was cheating on him.
