Kenyans have taken to social media to rate former Citizen Tv Swahili anchor Kanze Dena as she stepped out to the public on her new role as the Deputy State House Spokesperson.
Clad in a navy blue power suit, Kanze was all smiles as she took her role in stride, addressing the nation from State House.
She did not disappoint as she articulated her points in flowery swahili that her TV audience had come to know her for.
For the former Nipashe Wikendi anchor, State House becomes a new stage after making the switch from the news autocues for the senior post on the house on the hill early this month.
For a moment, social media users listened as she laid out the government’s agenda before keyboards went on overdrive as they praised her on the milestone she had achieved.
While some went for her delivery, pose and general appearance, others tore into the contents of her brief.
Here are some of the comments…
Deputy spokesperson of state house Kanze Dena. You are an inspiration to us.#StateHouseBriefing pic.twitter.com/BNiUcmGOkx

Someone should tell her that we aren't Tanzanians. She should be addressing us in English so that the people like @MigunaMiguna can hear what she's saying.

For the first time ever I watched the #StateHouseBriefing in fluent swahili and it was so refreshing. Kanze Dena will do a good job

Kanze donning designer suits but lying openly to all Kenyans. No amount of cosmetic appearance will change the fact that Jubilee administration is a kleptocracy. #StateHouseBriefing

With no intention of shaking any tables, I noticed that the usual echo Twitter handles (including the bots) did not participate in Kanze's briefing. Even the official handles posted nothing. We shall revisit. pic.twitter.com/5pnix0F8Oh
