Self-proclaimed president of single mothers Akothee sent a special birthday message to her daughter Vesha Shaillan Okello on 9th June.

Akothee’s touching message to Vesha as she turned 21 warmed the hearts of many social media users.

The Oyoyo singer told her daughter that she does not owe her or anyone children or a husband even at 50.

“I can’t promise you a husband because I don't have one too…You don't owe me children or a husband even at 50 I will never ask why you ain't married” stated the mother of five.

“Any man who disrespect you should be dumped like some hot pan, never allow any man to dictate your happiness, you deserve to be loved,” she added.

On her 19th birthday, Vesha was gifted a car her doting mother and it was no different as she turned 21 as she was given 40% shares in travels and tours company Akothee Safaris.

Unorthodox parenting

Akothee is well-known for speaking her mind and doing things as she sees fit.

In a recent interview with SDE, Akothee spoke out on why she introduced her daughters to clubbing and alcohol.

“The world is at a point where young girls are getting carried away by the flashy lifestyle they see on social media.  I want to let my children know that this drink is not as expensive as they might think” she explained buying her daughters Sh20,000 champagne.

“I introduced them to the night life so when someone approaches them they know these things are normal,” she concluded.
