Jubilee Christian Church (JCC) Pastor Kathy Kiuna has found herself on the receiving end on Twitter after her tithing tweet sent ripples on social media.
During her Sunday sermon, Kathy said that no one can remain poor while being a sincere tither, a statement that found its way to twitter via her personal account.
‘’Tithing is an obedience issue. You cannot be a tither, a sincere tither and remain poor,’’ her tweet read.
Whatever reaction mum, as she is referred to by her church members, was expecting from Kenyans immediately went south as mixed reactions flooded her handle and like ravaging wolves came down on her.
Some KOT called her out for focusing too much on finances rather than other biblical doctrines that are equally important. Other’s however supported her view wondering what the fuss was all about.
It is not the first time the church has come under scrutiny. Pastor Kathy sent Twitter on a near meltdown last year after she promised her followers that they would each be driving a brand-new car by the end of 2017.
Here are some of the reactions the post elicited…
