Juma Jux comments on Vanessa Mdee cozying up with Trey Songz

After making their relationship public, all eyes were on the two bongo artists and soon they became relationship goals.

However, that was short-lived as their relationship soon turned on and off.

When photos of Vanessa and Trey Songz cozying up together resurfaced, things took a turn between the two.

Fans were convinced there is more than meets the eye and the two, Vanessa and Trey Songz were more than friends as she had earlier alluded time and time again.

‘’The video and pictures going around are misinterpreted, I worked for MTV and had met Trey before, we were cool then and are cool now. I respect him (Trey Songz), Juma and all our fans.’’ She said during an interview with Bongo 5 after the incident.

Two years after the American artist came to Kenya for Coke Studio Africa, Juma Jux has opened about the whole incident admitting that he encouraged Mdee to work with Songz in efforts to build her brand.

‘’I was in China when Vanessa Mdee flew to Kenya for Coke Studio and she would send me pictures from her sessions and where she hanged out. I even had those photos of Vanessa and Trey but when they hit the internet and people started getting the wrong impression about them, I started thinking it was too much and started reacting. To make matters worse our schedules kept clashing and I wasn’t too happy.’’ Juma said.

‘’For some time Vanessa was angry at me because she knew how the situation was, people really exaggerated the story. Such things happen to me and Vanessa understands. She was very honest with me so that I can understand (what actually happened) and she was disappointed I didn’t trust her. It was hard but I learned a lot.’’ He said about their complicated situation.

During a recent visit to Kenya in January where the couple was promoting her album, Vanessa left many questioning whether she was pregnant with Juma’s baby as a bump could be seen through her short blue dress at a dinner party.
