A senior official of a parastatal has had suppliers and contractors up in arms over tenders at the agency.
The Grapevine has learnt that the man has been awarding nearly all contracts to companies associated with him and his mistress, who is a mid-level manager in the organisation.
Staff at the organisation are now a dejected lot after the companies awarded the tenders performed poorly and got paid despite doing shoddy jobs.
The director’s girlfriend is also using her proximity to the boss to harass other staff members and threaten anyone who defies her with the sack.
The Grapevine hears that some of the disgruntled suppliers and contractors are now compiling a dossier, which they plan to share with the Ethics and Ant-Corruption Commission
