While many are still reeling over one of Kenya’s greatest female artist’s decision to quit secular music in favor of gospel after giving her life to Christ last month, the artist has come out to explain her reason.
Promising to drop a new gospel song soon, Amani stated that she always felt a void that something was wrong and that she was not doing what she was meant to do despite clocking 18 years in the industry.
‘’I knew I supposed to do gospel music but it reached a point where I had to choose between exiting secular music or staying for life.’’ She said during an interview yesterday.
Growing up in a Christian family, she learnt firsthand how to share the love of her mother, a pastor.
‘’As a pastors child I had to learn to share my mum...she always put her family first but had to pastor many.’’ The post read in part.
‘’Pastors have a lot to give and their kids are always surrounded with a lot of love but they have to learn how to share their parents with others for they are considered parents by many,’’ she adds.
