On 1st December 2017, secular artist turned Gospel artist Cece Sagini said ‘I do’ to the talented photographer Victor Peace at an intimate garden wedding they shared with invited guests. Two months into their marriage, the Peaces have finally revealed the secret to their successful relationship.
No sex before marriage was a decision they both made and it was the best decision they ever made.
‘’It made us better friends and better partners. Communication was/is great and there was mystery.’’ A description of their celibacy video reads.
Was it hard?
‘’It was freaking hard guys.’’ Victor Peace reveals.
‘’If you guys have started having sex honestly I think if you’re a Christian the Bible says you should not be unequally yoked. If you’re trying to pursue purity and this other person is not, your goals are not aligned.’’ The renowned photographer said.
The couple went on to reveal that they had sex before but it was not a wise choice opting to wait and build on other aspects of their relationship outside sex.
‘’I just like Victor had sex before and I understood what issues it can cause in your wellbeing in your spirituality, body, mind and physical being. There is such thing as strongholds. For me my experience was I would get so attached to people and I find myself in the wrong situations and you can take so much. But when you include sex in a relationship you can take abuse, not necessarily physical you can take mental and you still stay and you wonder why. It is because of the stronghold. I went through something close to that and I decided I need to know myself and God more. It reached a point I was done with that so by the time I was shifting to this new relationship thank God for Victor it was an opportunity to wait.’’ Cece shares.
Victor on the other hand yielded to peer pressure after making a vow with other pastor’s kids while in high school that they would wait for marriage.
‘’I maintained until 4th year university and I felt alone because everyone had done it. I decided to do it and honestly I would go back and change it and meet Cece. I felt so bad I let myself down.’’ He said.
The couple also offer some valuable advice stressing on the loss of respect once sex takes place.
The couple got engaged in November 2015 after Victor Peace made a public proposal on live TV after Cece had finished a stage performance on the Trend show.
