Jackson Kosgei has been nominated by the Jubilee Party EALA is a sub-organ of the larger East African Community He was nominated alongside other applicants

 

Emmy Kosgei’s father Jackson Kosgei has been nominated by the Jubilee Party for a position at the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA). Emmy’s father currently serves as the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) Chairman and was recently in the news over his passionate attempt to protect Kenyan moral values.

Majority leaders, Aden Duale and Kipchumba Murkomen (Senate, Elgeyo Marakwet) presented the list to the National Assembly on Thursday 30th  November. Duale said President Uhuru Kenyatta's party jointly considered gender and regional balance.

The East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) is a sub-organ of the larger East African Community, being the legislative arm of the Community. Members are sworn into five-year terms.
