Troubles continue to pile up in the bongo artist’s recording company Wasafi Classic Baby.
If it is not women causing turmoil as revealed by his brother and Dj Rommy Jones, it is legal issues that has the company in and out of the justice corridors.
A Tanzanian band has sued WCB for using a 14 second saxophone instrumental in the song ‘Zilipendwa’ which was released in August by Diamond and the artists signed under WCB.
Msondo Ngoma Music band through Maxim Advocates is asking for Ksh 13.8 million from WCB and Diamond for using the saxophone beats without their consent.
The band is asking for compensation considering the success of the song which lifted the saxophone melody from their song ‘Ajari.’
According to the lawsuit, Wasafi is to pay within seven days or the aggravated party will take further legal action.
This is not the first time the artist has found himself defending his song after he was accused of copying Davido’s song, ‘Fall’ for his song ‘Eneka.’
Diamond is currently embroiled in another legal drama with his baby mama for child support which was heard last week on Wednesday.
