Kenya’s political arch-rivals President Uhuru Kenyatta and the National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga have on Sunday put aside their differences and attended a church service at the All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi.
The two leaders shared the same roof for the first time since President Uhuru was re-elected following the divisive October 26 poll, and joined thousands to celebrate the Anglican Church’s 100th Anniversary.
The anniversary was presided over by the Archbishop of Canterbury, UK, Justin Welby who had earlier while speaking to KTN urged the two political leaders to reconcile and resolve their differences.
Chief Justice David Maraga was also in attendance at the celebration.
All Saints Cathedral acts as the headquarters of the Anglican Province in Kenya and the diocese of the Anglican Church, Kenya.
