A manager at Wilson Airport has lost his job for raising risk concerns over construction of hangers at the facility.
The airport hangers – under construction – are privately owned by a senior government official.
The manager is said to have written to the private owner asking him to comply with safety measures when putting up the closed building structure used in holding aircraft to prevent causing accidents at the airport.
But instead of the private firm responding, the manager received a letter from his employer, Kenya Airports Authority (KAA), asking him to proceed to a compulsory leave.
Grapevine has learnt that the official has since been replaced.
