A nominated Member of County Assembly in Nyeri has defended her choice of dress after she was unceremoniously thrown out of the chambers over indecency.
Beth Nyawira accused her male colleagues of humiliating and throwing her out instead of concentrating on the house business.
Nyawira stated that she was not indecently dressed as claimed and that her dress was of knee length.

According to reports, Nyawira was dressed in a short sleeveless dress that went against the guidelines by the speaker. Female MCAs are required to cover their arms and legs.
The speaker, John Kaguchia, threw her out and ordered the Sergeant at Arms to escort her out of the assembly.
